Bullhead catch fish
Bullhead catch fish are found in North America and there are 3 varieties of these bullhead catch fish,
• Ameiurus natalis which is commonly called as yellow bullhead,
• Ameiurus nebulosus called the brown bullhead
• Ameiurus melas which is called the black bullhead.
These bullhead catfishes are omnivorous and they feed on vegetation and invertebrates besides some small fries. Bullhead catfishes look similar to another catfish called channel, but this fish can easily adapt to any environment even with less oxygen. Compared to rest of the fishes, bullhead can easily tolerate fish pollutants and toxins better. So it is the most preferred choice of fish to have in your fish tank.
Characteristic features of species – bullhead catch fish
The yellow colored bullhead catfish are characterized through its round shaped tail, and extended anal fin, lastly white lower body barbells. The number of anal fins in bullhead is around 24 to 27 which also include rudimentary and when the weight of bullhead (yellow) catfish becomes more than 2 pounds. Bullhead (yellow) catfishes mostly are found in weedy and deep ponds or lakes. Moreover they can be also found in the streams.

In black bullhead the barbells are again dark like bullhead (brown), but their color is more uniform and not mottled. Also the number of fin rays (anal) is less from 15 and can go up to 21. Plus black bullhead just cant tolerate poor oxygen environment and are generally found in eutrophic and warm water bodies.
Among the bullhead catch fish black bullhead is the most preferred to be in fish tank. Other interesting feature is it color which is dense and uniform throughout its body which sends the viewer a strong message that don’t take eyes off from me.
